HARRIET’S STORY

Harriet’s previous owners moved in March of 2005. They were unable to find Harriet before they left, and she was left behind.

By October 2005, Harriet had been living on her own, eating dirt and what ever else she could find. During a very cold and wet night she crawled into the vent of a nearby home. The owner of the house heard her crying, realized she was in bad condition and brought her to LVVS. She had one front leg caught in her collar causing wounds to her neck and leg. Despite her problems, s-he was a sweet, loving cat.

With no owners available, VetEGA Inc. was asked to help. Because of a grant from VetEGA Inc. Harriet’s wounds were treated and she was rehydrated.

When she was finally on the road to recovery, she was placed at NCAL for adoption. Harriet has since found a forever home.
