Five million cats and dogs are killed every year, simply because no-one wants them.

VETEGA offers grants to help pay for spay/neuters for dogs and cats.  The grant applications can be obtained from a VETEGA participating veterinarian.  Application for VETEGA, Inc. Spay/Neuter Grant does not guarantee acceptance.  Applications must be completed and returned to the participating Veterinarian for review by VETEGA, Inc. Selected applicants will be informed as soon as possible.  Rabies vaccinations will be administered to any animals deemed to need vaccination (no vaccine history or overdue) as per state law and will be the responsibility of the owner.  Any additional vaccines or services will be at the cost of the owner.

Economic Eligibility: Applications will be considered on the merits of economic need.  Eligibility will be considering using the information supplied and in terms of a livable wage as calculated by the Vermont Business for Social Responsibility Research & Education Foundation. 

Discounts of services will range from 50% up to 100% discount on spay/neuter surgery based on economic information.
