STAR’S STORY

Name: Star
Age: 3 year old
Sex: Neutered Male
Color: Black N White
Breed: Domestic Short Haired
Species: Feline

"Star” is a 3-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair cat that presented to his veterinarian on emergency for persistent seizures.  The owner had applied a partial dose of an over-the-counter dog flea control product and Star started having seizures within a few hours of the application.  The owner contacted her veterinarian who directed the owner to bathe Star to remove as much of the product as possible from his skin.  However, Star’s seizures persisted despite the bath because enough of the toxin had absorbed into his system.

VETEGA was able to help make sure that Star got the treatment that he needed despite the owner’s limited finances.  Star returned home a few days later after treatment and is doing well today
